This is an appeal from an order denying the defendant’s motion to vacate a default judgment entered in favor of the plaintiffs in the small-claims division of the Circuit Court of Christian County. The small-claims complaint was filed on February 22, 1974, and alleged that the defendant was indebted to the plaintiffs in the sum of $1000 for certain improvements made on the defendant’s property. The defendant was served with a summons ordering him to appear in court on March 15, 1974.
