Petitioner was brought up on habeas ■ corpus to determine on the legality of his detention under a complaint and warrant in a proceeding before the police • court of Grand Rapids. No point is raised concerning the formality or jurisdiction of the court, if the by-law is valid *400under -which the complaint was made. We shall, therefore, not pass upon the form of the remedy, as no argument was-made except on the by-law.
