|aThe Jefferson Parish District Attorney filed a bill of information charging defendant, Gregory Carmen, with theft of a laptop computer valued at over $500, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:67. 1 Defendant was arraigned and pled not guilty. The State subsequently amended the bill of information to charge defendant with theft of property valued over $1,000, in violation of LSA-R.S.
