On April 22, 2009, Donna A. filed a petition naming her son Thomas C. as respondent and alleging that he was a person in need of supervision. On May 22, 2009, the respondent made factual admissions. Based upon those admissions, the court found that the respondent did not attend school in accordance with article 65 of the Education Law and scheduled a dispositional hearing.
