On December 14, 1929, Lillian Lazell was granted a divorce from Lester Lazell on a cross-bill filed by her charging cruelty. Lazell, the father, was given the care and custody of Elden David La zell, then almost three years old, inasmuch as cross-plaintiff, the mother, had neither a home nor means to care for the child. The decree provided only for nominal alimony, the father being a farmer with but limited property and earning power.
