Defendant, Dennis Hahn, appeals the sentence imposed by the district court upon his pleas of guilty to the offenses of vehicular eluding resulting in death, § 18-9-116.5, C.R.S. (1986 Repl.Vol. 8B), and two counts of first degree assault, § 18-3-202, C.R.S. (1986 Repl.Vol. 8B). He argues that the trial court erred in imposing consecutive sentences for the two assault counts under § 16-ll-309(l)(a), C.R.S. (1986 Repl.Vol. 8A) and that, in any event, the trial court abused its discretion by imposing a sentence that will result in a total incarceration of 42 years. We…
