MEMORANDUM OPINION

DENNIS R. DOW, Bankruptcy Judge.

The matter before the Court in this case is the objection by the Trustee to the claim by debtor Shawn Marie Seeley (“Debtor”) of a homestead exemption in property located in Freeman, Missouri. The Court has jurisdiction over this matter pursuant to 28 U.S.C. §§ 1334(b) and 157(a) and (b). This is a core proceeding which the Court may hear and determine pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 157(b)(2)(B). The Trustee contends the Debtor abandoned the property *279and forfeited her right to claim it as a homestead when she vacated the property some time in 2003…
