On January 13, 1995, this court remanded this cause for the circuit court to consider the merits of Jimmy A. Archie, Jr.'s, petition for writ of habeas corpus and to make specific findings of fact and conclusions of law. In his petition, Archie asserts the following: that in 1980, he was convicted of first degree robbery and rape and was sentenced to two concurrent sentences of 50 years' imprisonment; that on October 6, 1981, he was placed on incentive good time (IGT) status, as provided by Act No. 182, 1975 Ala.
