12This is a suit for damages under the Louisiana Securities Law, LSA-R.S. 51:701, et seq. Plaintiff, Mary Doucet, sued defendants, First Federal Guaranty 1 (“FFG”), Heith R. Huguet, John M. Compton, Jr., David Michael Compton, and Sherel J. Pizzolato, Jr., for damages for breach of fiduciary duty as a result of their involvement in sales to her of unregistered securities that were later determined to be part of a “Ponzi scheme.” Prior to trial, Ms. Doucet settled all claims she had asserted against FFG, the Comptons and Mr. Pizzolato, 2 leaving only Mr. Huguet as the…
