OPINION OF THE COURT
On the morning of October 2, 1965, a fire was discovered in the residence of Alexandra Manson in the Smithfield *426section of Frederiksted on the Island of St. Croix. After the fire was extinguished, the remains of what appeared to be a human body were removed from the premises. Though the remains were assumed to be those of the only occupant of the house, Alexandra Manson, this fact was never scientifically established prior to the burial.
