WALKER, JUSTICE:

*332 Petitioner Katie Franklin, Prosecuting Attorney of Jackson County, invokes this Court's original jurisdiction seeking a writ to prohibit the Circuit Court of Jackson County from enforcing its order suppressing all evidence of text messages between Respondent Cathy Brown, the defendant in the underlying criminal case, and an accountant for the company from which she allegedly embezzled $306,000. Because it is evident that the text messages were not exchanged in the context of civil settlement negotiations, we grant the writ of prohibition and find that the circuit court…
