Mercure, J.(1) Cross appeals from an order of the Family Court of Broome County (Ray, J.), entered May 20, 1998, which, inter alia, partially granted petitioner’s application, in a proceeding pursuant to Family Court Act article 4, for an award of child support, and (2) appeal from an order of said court, entered June 15, 1998, which denied petitioner’s application for an award of counsel fees.

The parties were married on December 22, 1988. They have one child together, a son born in 1988. Prior to the parties’ marriage, respondent paid approximately $117,000 for a one-third interest in Broome…
