This is an action in trespass to recover damages for injuries resulting from the alleged negligent shooting of the plaintiff by an officer employed by the defendant company as a member of its railroad police force and commissioned by the Governor as a special officer, under the Act of May 24, 1878, P. L. 125, and the Act of June 11, 1879, P. L. 152. The case was tried, by agreement of the parties, by a judge without a jury, who rendered a verdict in favor of the plaintiff for $15,000.
