THOMAS, District Judge.
Charles H. Meyer, Henry L. Meyer, and Joseph R. Dickinson, under the firm name of Meyer & Dickinson, were commission merchants at Philadelphia. The Meisch Manufac*829turing Company made silks at Paterson, K J. Henry L. Meyer was president and Charles H. Meyer was treasurer of the corporation, and the latter was the practical ruling force in the firm and company. The company consigned to the firm for sale all its product, on which advances were customarily made. On August 14, 1898, Charles H.
