MEMORANDUM OPINION
POSNER, Circuit Judge (Sitting by Designation).
This is a suit for breach of contract by Torco Oil Company against Innovative Thermal Corporation (ITC) and two corporations affiliated with ITC — Caldwell Aircraft Trading Company and Charlotte Aircraft Corporation. Federal jurisdiction is based on diversity, and Illinois law governs the substantive issues. A jury awarded Torco damages of $2,554,110 against all three defendants.
