The plaintiff, Beulah S. Hiller, filed this action to recover for personal injuries she claimed to have sustained when she fell on the rear stairs of the building managed by defendant, F. W. Harsh, Jr., and owned by defendant, Jane Dent Homes, Inc. At the close of the plaintiff’s case, the trial judge granted the defendants’ motion for a directed verdict on the plaintiff’s count for wilful and wanton negligence but denied the motion for a directed verdict on the plaintiff’s count for ordinary negligence.
