Section 111 of the Chancery act, as amended in 1914 (P. L. 1914 p. 133; Cum. Supp. Comp. Stat. 1924 pp. 269, 270), permits an appeal from final decrees, in general, within one year; and by a proviso added in 1914 enacts that “the Chancellor may in his discretion by order made not more than six months after the time hereinabove limited for taking an appeal, extend the time of the appellant for making his appeal for a period not exceeding six months from the expira tion of the time so limited.” We have before us an extreme case under this…
