ON APPLICATION FOR REHEARING

The State's application for rehearing is granted. The opinion issued in this cause on December 3, 1993, is withdrawn and the following substituted therefor:

Stacey Kidd, a juvenile, was certified to stand trial as an adult for the offenses of murder and attempted murder.1 The charges against Kidd were connected in their commission and were consolidated for trial. A jury convicted Kidd of manslaughter in connection with the murder charge and acquitted him on the attempted murder charge. He was sentenced to eighteen years' imprisonment on the manslaughter conviction.…
