Appellant Mickey Lewis Byrd, Jr., challenges his bench-trial convictions for malice murder and other crimes in connection with the shooting death of Steven Moore. Appellant contends that the evidence was constitutionally insufficient to support his convictions, that he did not knowingly, intelligently, and voluntarily waive his right to a jury trial, and that he was denied the effective assistance of counsel.
