This action was filed to recover workmen’s compensation benefits under the Workmen’s Compensation Law of Tennessee.
Plaintiff worked for defendant from 1937 until 1957 in its coal mine and during that time contracted occupational diseases, including silicosis, emphysema, bilateral pulmonary fibrosis, pneumonos-coniosis, anthraeosis, and bronchitis.
The occupational disease, or anthraco-sis, was not diagnosed until September 1963 and notice was given the employer within 30 days as required by applicable statute. The occupational diseases mentioned were caused or…
