McLAUGHLIN, Circuit Judge:

Plaintiff appeals from an order entered May 16, 1996 in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York (Rakoff, J.) granting defendant’s motion to dismiss plaintiffs claim as time-barred. We review de novo the grant of the dismissal motion. Eagleston v. Guido, 41 F.3d 865, 870 (2d Cir.1994).
