MARCUS, Circuit Judge:

Defendant Ronald Delaney (“Delaney”) challenges the district court’s denial of his motion to suppress the drugs, weapons, and cash found when police searched a home rented by his girlfriend, LaSandra Godfrey (“Godfrey”). The police did not have a warrant, and they entered the home to conduct a “protective sweep” — a “quick and limited search of premises, incident to an arrest and conducted to protect the safety of police officers or others.” Maryland v.
