MICHOL O’CONNOR, Justice.

Eldrake Maurice Smith, the appellant, appeals two convictions of two felony offenses, obtaining a controlled substance by fraud and felony escape. We affirm.

Background

At around 7:00 p.m. on May 1, 1997, the appellant entered a Walgreen’s store and handed the pharmacist a prescription. The patient identified on the prescription was Rosemary Dixon. The pharmacist verified the spelling of the patient’s name, as well as the address, phone number, and date of birth.
