HIGGINS, Justice.

The district attorney pro tempore, appointed by our learned brother below in the place of the district attorney who voluntarily recused himself instituted a removal suit on the petition of sixty-seven residents and taxpayers against the sheriff and ex-officio tax collector of the Parish of Avoyelles for high crimes and misdemeanors in office, incompetency, corruption, favortism, extortion, oppression and gross, misconduct.
