Galen Richey was seriously injured when he fell from the roof of his sister’s house while attempting to remove a large tree limb. He sued his sister’s insurance provider, American Family Mutual Insurance Company, and Catherine M. Philipp, the insurance agent that procured the American Family homeowner’s policy on behalf of Richey’s sister.
