The grand jury of Oconee County returned an indictment against the defendant which charged him, in three separate counts, with the crimes of embezzlement, breach of trust with fraudulent intention, and grand larceny. Each count dealt with the misappropriation of the same sum of money. The alleged crimes grew out of the conduct of the defendant as country treasurer. In addition to the indictment in this case, it appears that three other indictments are pending against the defendant for other alleged defalcations of public funds…
