Plaintiff brought this fraud action against defendant, alleging that he had relied on statements by one of defendant’s claims adjusters in entering a contract with a contractor for repair work on plaintiff’s rental property and, as a consequence, had been damaged by the contractor’s failure to obtain the building permits necessary to perform the repairs and to make the repairs in conformance with the Grants Pass building code.
