In 1883 the village board of the village of. Brandon, in Fond du Lac count}7, determined that no license for the sale of intoxicating liquors in said -village, should be granted during the ensuing year, and passed an ordinance prohibiting such sale and providing for the punishment of those who should violate the'same.
