This is an appeal by plaintiff, Henry Tifft, from a judgment in favor of defendant, in an action for the recovery of moneys advanced in payment of taxes upon certain real estate owned by defendant.

The cause was submitted to the trial court upon a stipulation of facts, from which it appeared inter alia that: Defendant is an Illinois corporation, not for pecuniary profit, engaged in conducting a medical college in the City of Chicago; that on October 4, 1910, it became and has ever since been the owner of the premises described in…
