By the contract between the plaintiffs and the defendants, so far as it' can be ascertained from the imperfect writing proven, and from the other evidence, the plaintiffs were to furnish a barge, properly supplied with captain and crew, to the defendants for the transportation of coal between Hoboken and Fall Biver, from the 1st of March, 1876, to the 1st of January, 1877, at $300 per month for two trips a month.
