This case concerns the alleged denial of the right of a prisoner to a speedy trial and improper deprivation of his opportunity to exercise the right to a speedy trial.

The facts are undisputed. On October 14, 1975, appellant Eugene Delbert Cave allegedly sold one gram of heroin to Modesto undercover agent Thomas Bazan. Officer Bazan testified that he and an informant, Charles Robinson, drove to appellant’s house in Modesto.
