This is a suit by ap-pellee against the appellant to recover the value of 42 bales of cotton alleged to have been destroyed by fire while in the possession of appellant as a common carrier for transportation from Dallam station, in Brazos county, to the city of Navasota, in Grimes county. The only question presented by appellant’s brief is whether the evidence is sufficient to sustain the finding of the trial court that the cotton was in the possession of appellant for transportation at the time it was destroyed.
