The decedent died July 28, 1934, a resident of the town of Ossian, Livingston county, N. Y. Prior to his death and on February 8, 1933, he executed and delivered a chattel mortgage, covering certain personal property, to the Canaseraga State Bank, to secure the payment of the sum of $1,100. This mortgage was filed in the proper town clerk’s office February 10, 1933, and was never renewed, as required by section 235 of the Lien Law.
