It sufficiently appears from the pleadings and the evidence in-this case, that on the 12th day of March, 1898, the plaintiffs and the defendant entered into a contract in writing whereby the plaintiffs agreed to give a performance each day of the week, including Sunday, for a period of five months, commencing June 1, at the defendant’s music hall in Omaha. These performances were to consist of music, dancing and ' contortions. In consideration whereof, the defendant agreed to pay them the sum of $60 per week, and to furnish them with board and lodging.
