FRIEDMAN1, Judge.

James N. Koren appeals from an order of the Court of Common Pleas of Lycoming County (trial court) which sustained the preliminary objections of the Board of Directors of the Jersey Shore Area School District (School District) and dismissed Koren’s complaint in mandamus. We affirm.

Koren was a tenured professional employee, employed by the School District as a social studies teacher until June 1984, when declining enrollment in the School District forced his suspension from that employment pursuant to the provisions of section 1124 of the Public School Code of 1949 (Public…
