¶ 1. Jonathan Robinson was convicted in absentia by a Washington County Circuit Court jury of felony third-offense domestic violence. He was sentenced by the circuit court to ten years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) and ordered to pay court costs and fees totaling $925. Robinson appeals arguing that his conviction and sentence were improper because he was denied his constitutional right to confront his accusers and be present at his sentencing.
