On February 12, 1991, defendant Norwest Bank Minnesota, N.A. ("Norwest”) issued an irrevocable letter of credit (the "L/C”) in the amount of $110,040 to Cho Hung Bank, Pusan Branch, Republic of Korea. Cho Hung Bank subsequently transferred the L/C to plaintiff Bank of Seoul.
