This is an action under the Retailers’ Occupation Tax act. The Department of Finance of the State of Illinois, after examination, and an audit of the appellees’ books, made a corrected return for the period from July, 1936, to December, 1937, both inclusive, and sent the appellees notice of a proposed assessment in the sum of $3410.34, plus penalties in the sum of $381.46, making a total assessment of $3791.80.
