Charles Whittington was tried in the circuit court before a jury on the charge of selling intoxicating liquors in violation of the statute. The jury returned a verdict of guilty, and fixed Ms punishment at one year in the State Penitentiary. The defendant lias duly prosecuted an appeal to tMs court.
