J. RICH LEONARD, Bankruptcy Judge.

These cases are before the court on the trustee’s motions to dismiss for the debtors’ failure to contribute their projected disposable income to payment of unsecured creditors pursuant to 11 U.S.C. § 1325(b)(1)(B), to which the debtors have objected. A hearing on the matters was held on December 10, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. in Raleigh, North Carolina. Because resolution of this issue directly impacts the functioning of chapter 13 cases in this district, the court opened the hearing to all interested parties and authorized the filing of amicus briefs prior to…
