CLECKLEY, Justice:

In this medical malpractice case, the plaintiffs, Shelley S. and David L. McDougal, appeal from a jury verdict in favor of the defendant, Julie K. McCammon, M.D. The plaintiffs claimed that as a result of the defendant’s negligent performance of a hysterectomy, Mrs. McDougal suffered perma nent nerve damage. The jury returned a verdict in favor of the defendant.
