From the date of its incorporation in 1920 until January 30th, 1933, Claude R. Woodard was secretary of the Colonial Building & Loan Association, Inc. As secretary, it was his duty, under the by-laws, in addition to receiving deposits from association members and payments upon stock, collecting dues from various mortgagors, and turning such moneys over to the treasurer, to have custody of mortgages and insurance policies of the association.
