This case is before this court on certification from the court of appeals pursuant to sec. (Rule) 809.61, Stats. The defendant-appellant Ronald E. Seifert (Seifert) appeals from a commit*56ment order of the Circuit Court for Sheboygan County, Judge Gary Langhoff. The order committed Seifert to the State Department of Health and Social Services to be placed in an appropriate institution for custody, care, and treatment.
