Besieged by lawsuits brought by municipalities against it and other gun manufacturers across the country, plaintiff Beretta U.S.A. Corporation (“Beretta”), a Maryland corporation, seeks a declaratory judgment that defendants Federal Insurance Company (“Federal”) and Great Northern Insurance Company (“Great Northern”) owe a duty to defend and indemnify Beretta in those lawsuits under the terms of general liability and premises/operations liability policies issued to Beretta by the defendants annually since 1990.
