The question here is whether contribution is authorized between joint judgment debtors where the judgment rendered was in a tort action.

Trial was to the court upon stipulated facts which may be summarized as follows: On April 19, 1966, a collision involving three automobiles occurred on U. S. Highway 54 three miles west of Liberal, Kansas, in which several persons were killed or injured. Drivers of the three vehicles were Herbert Goggans, Aleñe Horton and Larry Miller.
