Defendant, Donald Smith, was charged with two counts of armed robbery. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1973, ch. 38, par. 18 — 2.) After a bench trial, defendant was found guilty as charged and sentenced to 8 to 24 years’ imprisonment.
