Cornelle Williams (“Williams”) was convicted in October 2002 of murder in the second degree, assault in the first degree, and two counts of armed criminal action. His conviction was affirmed on direct appeal, but reversed in a Rule 29.15 proceeding where Williams demonstrated ineffective assistance of counsel. On retrial, Williams was again convicted following a jury trial of murder in the second degree, assault in the first degree, and two counts of armed criminal action.
