In accordance with his pleas of guilty appellant was convicted by special court-martial of the offense of carrying a concealed weapon and assault on a superior noncommissioned officer. Appellate defense counsel assigned four errors for review by this Court, the first of which asserts that the plea of guilty to the offense of carrying a concealed weapon in violation of Articles 134 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), 10 U.S.C. § 934, was not provident.
