SAVOIE, Judge.

Defendant, Mark Louis Blache, was charged by bill of information with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and attempted second degree murder. Blache pled not guilty. These charges were severed and Blache was tried for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon under La.R.S. 14:95.1. A jury found Blache not guilty. He was then tried in a bench trial for attempted second degree murder, pursuant to La.R.S. 14:27 and 14:30.1.
