This is a petition for a mandamus to the selectmen of Stewartstown, requiring them to procure and pay to the petitioner the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars voted him by the town as additional bounty for military service. The substance of the petition is that on the 30th day of March, 1865, the petitioner was, and for several years had been, an inhabitant of said Stewartstown and was duly enrolled as liable to be drafted into the military service of the United States; that on that day he enlisted, and was mustered into that service on the quota of Stewartstown for three years, and was…
